Day 1
Your first day of riding will be approximately 52 miles. You begin your ride
along the Big Islands Gold Coast, which is the first half of the Ironman bike
course. We will make stops at historic sites and tropical valleys along our way.
Day 2
A worthwhile challenge! Ride into the Kohala Mountains and across part of the
famous Parker Ranch, one of the largest privately owned cattle ranches in the
USA. Your reward? Stunning oceans views as you drop into the green headlands of
tropical valleys on the windward side. Approximately 55 miles.
Day 3
Continue along the green Hamakua Coast, descending the scenic route toward Hilo,
the only city on the island. Lush tropical land sites and waterfalls in giant
river gulches will make this day special. Approximately 55 miles.
Day 4
Gain elevation gradually over thirty-five miles to be rewarded with exploring
terrain on the most active volcano in the world. See the Kilauea Caldera, lounge
in front of a large fireplace where Mark Twain watched an eruption in the last
century.
Day 5
Rest on a thirty-five mile, forty-five hundred foot descent back to sea level.
Restore your energy at the beautiful Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, home of the
hawkbill turtles. Heading north, we will see the southern most point of the USA.
Approximately 55 miles.
Day 6
On this last day of riding, heading northward up the Kona Coast. Roads
alternating between straight and winding take you across breathtaking sea
cliffs, lava flow vistas, Ohia forest reserves and world famous Kona coffee
farms. This incomparable variety of scenery is compensation for gains and losses
of elevation as you make your way to your hotel. Approximately 55 miles.

and prepare for your departure.
